Induction technology is cost-saving in terms of low power consumption and shorter preparation of the workplace. The application is flexible and saves a lot of waiting time to reach the desired temperature. In addition, induction emits minimal radiant heat in the welding area compared to traditional resistance heating, resulting in a more comfortable and safer working environment.

Miller ProHeat 35

Proheat 35 is a highly energy-efficient induction system that transfers heat energy to the workpiece using cables that form a magnetic coupling according to the coil principle. Proheat 35 reduces time and energy consumption and is easy to operate and set up.

Miller has established itself as a market leader with its ProHeat 35. Induction preheating and stress relieving annealing is the most cost-effective method for heating magnetic steel on the market today. Thermotech sells and rents out the Miller ProHeat 35 and the machine is available in both air-cooled and water-cooled versions. The temperature range for an air-cooled setup is up to 200°C and equipped with active cooling up to 790°C. Technical specifications can be found here: ProHeat35
